Release Party for Chronicles of Violence, Yelapa Mexico

I will be reading from my new collection at Casa Luna in Yelapas, Mexico on March 30th, 2019.

This intimate gathering will honor the women of Mexico, especially my Mexican grandmother. Chronicles of Violence is a collection of poems about gender-based violence with a focus on the women of the DRC, Juarez, Mexico, and is dedicated to my Mexican grandmother, who was raped, and subsequently gave birth to my grandfather in Jalisco, Mexico.

So this reading will be very special. Margaritas will be flowing…
